Print Size Calculator
Calculate physical print size from pixel dimensions and PPI.
What this tool calculates
Calculate physical print size from pixel dimensions and PPI. The main inputs on this page are Width (px), Height (px), Resolution (PPI). The result is intended to be readable immediately, with the explanation below available when you need to verify the method.
Method and calculation basis
Physical size in inches = pixels ÷ PPI. Centimetres are inches × 2.54. PPI describes pixel density for the intended physical output.
Worked examples
Print reference
3000 × 2400 px at 300 PPI corresponds to 10 × 8 inches.
Resolution check
6000 × 4000 px contains 24,000,000 pixels, or 24 MP.
Understanding the result
The output should be read in the units shown beside the result. If you are comparing alternatives, keep all unchanged assumptions identical and alter one input at a time. That makes it easier to see which value is responsible for the difference.
Assumptions, edge cases and accuracy
Dimensions and PPI are mathematical properties; they do not guarantee visual quality. Compression, resampling, focus and source quality still matter.
